Guest guest
Happy Holidays one and all. For someone who wants to be healthy, I am having a very hard time over the holidays. There is just too much temptation and too little will power. I want to start a deep cleanse of my body beginning the new year. I know it sounds weird but I want to clean myself so I smell rain fresh. I have so many stresssses in my life, that I don't know if I can do it....will power wise. I think the best thing would be if I could just live on salads and fruit, lentils, brown rice, but it seems so hard. I have kids that are young and so demanding at this stage of life, and there is very little " me " time. If I introduced more " healthy " foods to them they might throw the food back at me. Any ideas out there? May all your days be as beautiful as a sunrise!! Guest guest
Hi Nancy, Happy Holidays to you too! It's always hard to stay on any diet during the holidays with all the temptations around. My suggestion would be if you could prepare your meals separately from your family's, if that isn't too much trouble for you. If your kids see what you're eating and decide they'd rather eat the healthier food instead, that works out. If they still like the food they're used to eating, then separate meals for differing needs might be the way to go? Or try introducing one healthy item per meal (salad, fruit, brown rice) but keep some of what they're used to eating?
