Guest guest Posted October 19, 2006 Report Share Posted October 19, 2006 Colleen, I understand about the cornbread. When I quit with dairy, I could not find a cornbread without dairy. So I started making my own with the recipe on the box. Yuck! I scavenged other recipes and tried many. None really " do " it. But I think that Sarah Kramer's recipes probably are the closest. I made the one out of La Dolce Vegan a couple of days ago. It was fine, not great, but fine. The only thing is that after I took the toothpick out clean and took it out of the oven, and cooled, it did not seem quite done in side, certainly not the fluffy kind I used to like from Marie Calendars.
