Guest guest
as promised: " Turkey " Cranberry Wreath 2 pkgs (8 oz each) of refrigerated crescent rolls 1/2 cup nayonaise ** 2 T honey dijon mustard 1/2 t. black pepper 2 cups cubed " turkey " (I use Worthington farms in a log) 1/2 cup sliced celery 3 T fresh parsley 1/2 cup dried cranberries (I use craisins) 4 oz. swiss cheese (I use a veg version) ** 1/4 cup walnuts, chopped ** Preheat oven to 375. Unroll crescent dough; separate in to 16 triangles. With the wide ends of 8 of the triangles form a circle points out (like a sun) on the outer edge of a round baking sheet or stone. Corners of wide ends will touch and points will extend past the edge. For second set of 8 triangles, match wide edge to wide edge with the layer already down. This time the points will point inwards. Combine remaining ingredients, then scoop mixture over the " seams " of the triangles, forming a circle. Beginning at the center, alternately cross sections over. So, the inside section would cross over the filling to the outside. Then you would take an outside section and cross in. You may find it easier to cross all the inside points first. I tuck them under the outside and the outside under the inside. It should resemble a " wreath " and be round in appearance. The filling often can be seen between pieces of dough. Bake 25 - 30 minutes until golden. ** these items can be reduced to cut back on calories, and/or the walnuts could be eliminated. If you have questions because my instructions are clear as mud, please email me! :0) Kym
Guest guest
Just a reminder to the group - most holiday recipes tend to be a little more calorific than what we eat every day. That is WHY they are special. When I file recipes for the group, I will put this kind of recipe in the non-slimming folder under recipes. ~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~ from Maida Citizens for Pets in Condos, Inc. www.petsincondos.org - a Florida non-profit corporation South Florida Vegetarian Events www.soflavegevents.net <http://www.vistaprint.com/vp/gateway.aspx?S=5176697856>
