Guest guest
Hi again, Ralph! So sorry - I should have remembered that Midas was a yellow Lab. smile. He will mean the world to you of course - these dogs have a wonderful sense of love and duty that goes beyond just training. Do you have a photo of Midas for us??? If you do, please send it to me and not to the group, because the group email is set not to receive attachments including photos. My email address is moorcroftblue and I could then put the photo on our group website showing Midas as an honored honorary member. smile. Or is that a bit of a trick for you to do - I don't know what kind of software you use. sorry. smile. In any case, lovely to hear from you and to hear about your gardening. Somehow I never got into that. My husband and I have always lived in apartments from choice and right now we are in the middle of a smallish city of just under half a million people. Our dogs - who are very very precious to us for similar reasons (which I'll tell you about) - love meeting all the people and dogs on their walks. Our blueberries come from the farmers' market in town. About our dogs: my younger beagle lets my husband know about things that he cannot hear even with his hearing aids in place. Even though she lost her sight suddenly in March (from Sudden Acquired Retinal Degeneration, which is total and incurable but luckily not painful) she still feels her job is important, as it definitely is. She was not trained for this - she just picked up that it was something she needed to do, and we are amazed at how clever she is at it! Our older beagle guides our younger beagle when outdoors on their leashes. She's also her mama's girl! smile. Okay, enough dog talk. smile. Lots of lovely pats for Midas and love to you. Love, Pat > Pat Only you would know the love and respect that I have for this wonderful Yellow Lab. Pat, the feeling that you get when he does something to prevent you from getting a terrible injury or even taking you around maybe a stick lying across the sidewalk, they are just amazing. > I started gardening after I was blinded and I really enjoy it, to the point of being kind of a bore, smile. I have been eating blueberries, dried and frozen every morning. I really like pumpkin seeds and dried blueberries as a great snack.
