Guest guest
Thanks for the recipe, but a teeny prob maybe. OK, First, this recipe is a direct copy from Dr Weil - http://www.drweil.com/u/Recipe/Recipe10081/ (tee hee - a steal from Weil!) and it would have been, er, good to acknowledge the source - and hasn't been found tried-and-true by you. Second, 375 calories (all that sugar, fat, heavens to betsy!) makes this just too much off the board for a mere scone - however 'healthy' Dr W. might consider it to be. Pity. It looks ok - I like the idea of those seeds in there and the millet, don't you? You could play around quite a bit with the recipe, reduce the sugar, reduce the fat (substitute something else such as unsweetened apple sauce?), etc. You know, I think this recipe is meant to be for the roughage. Most people don't get enough by a long shot. You could take a couple of tbsp all-bran each morning if you were having probs with far fewer calories. But vegetarians rarely lack for roughage :-) Or am I dreaming? What do the rest of you think? Probs??? Best love, Pat
