Guest guest
OK, I guess that it's pretty easy to think that somehow, going veg and especially going vegan is going to miraculously take the weight off. 'T'aint so, my friend - no magic bullet. *sigh* The thing is, p;ure and simple, that to lose weight you need to burn off more calories than you take in - call it calires, call it energy, call it whatever, but you need to burn off more than you take in. We all know that. So, to lose more, you need to, say, take in 500 calories less than, say, the 1700 or 2000 (depending on your height and activity level0 needed to maintain your weight. It would help to increase your activity/exercise too - that burns it off nicely! :-) We also advocate changing from 'white' foods (eg. potatoes, rice, bread, etc.) to wholegrain choices, cutting out the sugar, and of course going low-fat. Here we do not promote any particular diet plan except as stated above. And that is because, and I keep repeating myself here *lol* - there is no magic bullet. Are you reading the fine print on the sides of all packaged foods? Avoiding as many processed foods as possible (they often have fats and sugars hidden in there)? Perhaps if you gave us an idea of the kinds of foods you are eating we could help better. Okay? Best of luck and best of love, Pat (group co-owner) > Hello my fellow vegan's and vegetarians > I have a problem. I have been a vegan for the last 4 months, and have not lost the weight that I thought I was going to lose (maybe a little) but not very much.need help in what to do? >
