But first a tiny explanation: Every now and then we get asked (by newbies to the vegetarian or vegan lifestyle) about what people should be eating - and of course we'd say 'vegetarian diet, well balanced, avoiding as many of the refined and processed foods as possible ' blah blah blah. (And on *this* list we also suggest, for slimming and health, low fat and little if any sugar.) Each individual has her or his own needs, depending on weight, medical problems if any, height, activity level, lifestyle etc. and it is therefore difficult to generalize. These two links take you to Food Pyramids plus info on your chosen way of eating/diet.
