Guest guest
Hi Laura, The pasta with olive oil coating and nutritional yeast sounds really good. Thanks for suggesting it! I have not looked at the uncheese cookbook--will google it. Thanks for the pasta tip--can tell that will be a good one! I cook and drain the pasta and coat it in a little olive oil (or sometimes olive oil based margarine) and then sprinkle the yeast flakes on. I give it a little stir and its ready to go. I then have that with vegetables in a tomato sauce or veg bolognaise. I have used it to make a cheese type sauce before but it wasn't hugely successful. Have you looked at the uncheese cookbook? Guest guest
I'm glad it was useful. It is yummy! The Uncheese Cookbook is by Joanne Stepaniak who is a great vegan writer (recipes and inspirational books). She gives details of how to " fake " various cheeses.
