Just wanted to say hi & apologize for the goofy name that came up on my

new member questionnaire. It's a fake name but one that sounds quite a

bit like my birth name--I'm just real paranoid about internet privacy.

Anyway, I'm totally new at this & have only been doing it for a few

days but I swear I'm feeling better already! Went to Chinese buffet &

never touched a piece of meat or bird! (But had 2 shrimps!) Any

recommendations anyone has about tasty substitutes would be

appreciated. I'd like to cut dairy, too (gives me hay fever symptoms),

but I love cheese & found soy cheese I tried to be... gross. Anyway

thanks for allowing me to join!

I don't know if there is such a thing as being too paranoid about

internet privacy.

I like Morningstar and Worthington products a lot. But mainly I found

experimentation's the way to go. I've tried a lot of different types of

fake meat to see which ones I liked the best. The ones I like may not

be the ones you do.

My husband hates soy cheese, or really anything involving soy. I've

been trying to get him to cut down on dairy since he's lactose

intolerant, and one thing that's helped is the Uncheese Cookbook by

Joanne Stepaniak. He's liked a lot of the recipes I've tried from it.

Happy belated birthday! And welcome to the list.
