Guest guest Posted March 11, 2006 Report Share Posted March 11, 2006 I have two comments about TVP: I buy dried TVP in the bulk bins of my local Coop and I use it wherever casseroles call for ground beef. You can make your own version of TVP which is quick and simple. Frozen tofu gets chewy when it has been frozen about one week. Add spices as you like and add it to your [formerly] favorite recipe for ground beef. I use this in spaghetti sauce all of the time. My family never notices the difference. Kathleen M.
