Guest guest
I used to be a food columnist and newspaper chef, so my boys aren't picky eaters, of course they love typical foods like pizza, spaghetti, burritos, my 16 year old loves minestrone soup. My problem is that here in Wyoming it's practically mandated that you eat meat, and they want to fit in...we're from Los Angeles, and it was definitely easier to eat healthy there, it's also much more expensive to eat vegetarian here. Restaurants are difficult too, you're pretty much stuck with salad and a baked potato. I'm trying to find some fun new foods to interest them, and definitely need some recipes for entertaining that omnivores won't be 'suspicious' of!!! (Why are people afraid of vegi's? and Tofu?) Guest guest
Hi there...I'm not afraid of veggies but I am not crazy about tofu LOL go figure. Anyhow something you can try for your boys and even your friends if you have a whole foods or trader joes around you is...morning star farm chikn nuggets, I have given them to meat eaters and they didn't even know...and also something new I came across that is great for parties and get together's is taquitos with mock meat, you would never know...I forget who manufactures them but they are in a yellow box. Also try substituting recipes with meat for mock meat, that's how I started out...now the stuffing and casseroles I make for holidays are all vegetarian.
