Guest guest
Several months ago, before deciding to become vegan, I purchased a box at World Market by Tasty Bite called Madras Lentils. It's vegetarian, but not vegan as it has cream and butter in it. (Even though I am vegan, since I'm still in transition, I am allowing small bits of dairy in an occasional meal. Not for much longer, though.) Anyway, it was DELICIOUS!!! Spicy and yummy and all I did was open the pouch, pour it into a bowl, put a coffee filter " cap " over the bowl, zap it for a minute and a half, and then eat it. Since I'm not feeling well today and had barely enough energy to zap something, it made a wonderful dinner, along with an apple. The website is www.tastybite.com. The only ingredients are water, tomatoes, lentils, red beans, onions, cream, salt, butter, sunflower oil, ginger, chili, cumin. 254 cals for the whole pouch, 10g fat, 10g fiber, 12g protein, 28g carb. I am going to go search for a vegan recipe of Madras Lentils with less fat but all the flavor. It is to die for. Very yumm-0!!! Anyone else here like spicy Indian food, or spicy any kind of veg*n food? WhimsyT
