Guest guest
Hi everybody! I'm Susan. I'm 38, married SAHM to 2 girls. We live in Florida. I am also a full-time babysitter. So literally my life is full of children. ) I love to read, thrifting, & rosary making. My oldest daughter has been in karate for nearly 4 years, and we look forward to putting our younger child in it too. ) I stopped eating meat when I was 20. Why? Many reasons. When I became pregnant at 25 with my first child, I started eating meat again. To this day I go back & forth, my hubby is a meat eater & it makes it hard. (for me at least) Recently, (due to a tragedy of a very close loved one), I decided to completely change the way my family eats. I am trying to stop buying the over processed CRAP I've been feeding myself & my family. I've been introducing more whole grains & putting more fruits & veggies into our meals. As a result, I have already lost almost 40 pounds. We all know that not all vegetarian food is healthy, .... and so this group REALLY caught my eye. It is Exactly what I was looking for. ) I don't want to get into a " cheese & peanut butter habit " . I am looking forward to getting to know ya'll & learning from ya'll. Thanks for letting me join. Guest guest
Welcome! Congratulations on all your efforts and keep up the good work. It is so exciting to hear about how others manage to eat healthier and what motivates people to change to become vegetarian. As well, when people have so much going on...with children, work and responsiblities abounding....it seems so challenging to fit in to the myriad of duties preparing food that is unprocessed and of course more time-consuming to prepare and plan. I commend those who can do it! I try, but I am nowhere near where I want to be. Someday a true veggie, All the best. LemonPoptart wrote: Hi everybody! I'm Susan. I'm 38, married SAHM to 2 girls.
