Guest guest
Hi there Mary Jo - good to hear from you! You say: > Hi, maybe I don't have the hang of this but the only way I can eat tofu is > in the blender with chocolate low carb - Ahah! A sweet tooth - and you want to lose weight too, right? ;-) Okay! And you'll find more smoothies in our Files section under 'Drinks' - Drinks/ Well, if you don't like tofu you don't - but it's a bit like not liking rice, which also absorbs wonderful flavours from everything that is cooked with it. On 27 January I posted an item about tofu to this group - message no. 5253 in the archives - but I'll give you the link to the original article which is really worth reading! It's to be found at: http://www.kansan.com/stories/2006/jan/25/tasting_tofu/ Hope that helps! As for the recipe I posted using tofu, to which you're responding, I assure you that it is very good, especially if you use a good quality (homemade would be best) stock for the soup. Tofu is handy for thickening soups, actually - something you would appreciate since you don't use wheat flour. It gives them a creamy texture and appearance too. Great stuff! > I have a pretty vegetarian > dog-- What kind of dog is he or she? I too have dogs - a pair of beagles. Wonderful companions are dogs! Mine especially. Especially in the kitchen!!! (But that's beagles all over!) Thanks for writing in. Chat again soon? Best love, Pat
