Guest guest
[This message will be sent automatically by 's computer at regular intervals.] Just to avoid undue confusion, here are a few things for us all to remember . . .. . POSTING RECIPES TO VEGETARIAN HEALTH AND SLIMMING GROUP Would you please help us out by making sure that you have noted (and followed) the following guidelines: 1. Please post only `tried and true' recipes - those which you have personally made and found to be workable as well as good. 2. Put `Recipe' in the subject line of your e-mail together with the name of your recipe. 3. Indicate after the title of each recipe whether it is vegan, ovo, ovo-lacto, or lacto. 4. Edit very carefully to remove all mention of meats, meat stock, gelatine, etc., in all your recipe. Vegan recipes should not contain eggs, dairy or honey. 5. If you are using a meat substitute/ fake meat item (e.g. `bacn bits' or whatever) please make clear that it is a `fake' meat - not everyone recognizes all brands of soy/seitan deli- style faux me*ts. 6. Include, if you wish, vegan substitutes for honey, ovo or lacto items if you have tried them and find they work in the recipe. 7, List ALL ingredients used, together with measurements used in the recipe *as you made it* plus temperatures and timing for cooking/baking. 8. Make sure that the recipe, including any garnishes, toppings, etc., is both low-fat and low-calorie as well as healthy. This is a low-fat *slimming* list, and some recipes, while wonderful in themselves and perhaps satisfactory on some commercially popular diets, are not suitable for this group. 7. Post only one recipe per e-mail. 8. A Final Note: A moderator may contact you to inquire about the recipe before posting it to the Files - this contact person for Vegetarian Health and Slimming group is Maida aka maidawg. Many many thanks, all. Pat - Co-owner, Vegetarian Health and Slimming
