Guest guest
> I called this Pasta Aubergine Al'Parmesan, > (mainly to get it past the kids - if I told them it was eggplant, they'd say, EEEEW!!!) Good for you! Mamas on the list are taking notes as they read your post! I'm playing with alternate names - depending on how many consonants and syllables one wants to get one's tongue around: pastas de la berenjena con parmesano; pasta della melanzana con parmigiano - blah blah blah. The point I'm making is not a point about translations (and I think mine are faulty anyway) - it's in support of the point *you* are making: Kids sometimes need a change of name and/or change of taste to be delighted in eating the very thing they've been told by their peers to despise. Wow - what sophistication - eggplant parmesan and the kids love it! You'll make gourmet vegetarians out of them yet - and then sit back in your old age, many years from now, and delight in the riches their fame is bringing you! Or at least you'll know that you started them on the path to good health and compassionate living. Hugs, Pat
