Guest guest Posted February 8, 2002 Report Share Posted February 8, 2002 * Exported from MasterCook * Jonathon's Tofu Dumplings Recipe By :Moosewood Collective Serving Size : 4 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1 cake tofu -- pressed 1 tablespoon light miso 1 tablespoon unbleached white flour 1 teaspoon kuzu or cornstarch -- dissolved in 1 teaspoon cold water 1/2 teaspoon dark sesame oil Jonathan Kline worked at Moosewood for many years and then went on become an Ithaca tofu maker. Tofu Dumplings make a simple miso hearty. Use them in any soup or stew as you would other dumplings. Mash the pressed tofu. Squeeze out any excess water through a sieve or cheesecloth. Mix the tofu, miso, flour, and dissolved kuzu or cornstarch. Add the sesame oil. Shape into small balls, about 1 1/2-inches in diameter.
