Blueberry & Buttermilk Falls Drink

1 cup buttermilk

1/2 cup fresh blueberries

or frozen

2 teaspoons sugar

or pure maple syrup -- or to taste

 

Buttermilk Falls is one of the prettiest sights in Ithaca. The gushing

waterfall bubbles like sparkling buttermilk.

 

Try this smoothie with one of our muffins or breads for an elegant,

light breakfast, or drink it solo as a midday refreshment. It’s easy,

thirst-quenching, and incredibly healthful.

 

Serves 1

Yields about 1 1/2 cups

Total time: 2 minutes

 

Puree the ingredients in a blender or food processor until smooth.

 

PER 11-OUNCE SERVING: 167 CALORIES, 8 G PROTEIN, 2.3 G FAT, 30 G

CARBOHYDRATES, 1.3 G SATURATED FATTY ACIDS, 7.9 MG CHOLESTEROL, 242.7 MG
