Guest guest Posted January 29, 2002 Report Share Posted January 29, 2002 * Exported from MasterCook * Shiitake Cider Sauté Recipe By :Veggie Life, Winter 2000-2001 Serving Size : 4 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Lacto Main Dishes Ovo Winter 2000-2001 Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 5 cups mixed salad greens 4 cloves garlic -- minced 1 tablespoon olive oil 1 tablespoon margarine or butter 8 ounces shiitake mushrooms -- stemmed and sliced 1/4 cup cider or apple juice 1 tablespoon soy sauce 2 teaspoons garlic Chile paste -- (2 to 4) 1. Arrange greens on a serving platter. In a large skillet over medium heat, saute garlic in oil and margarine or butter until golden and fragrant, about I minute. Be careful not to burn. 2. Add mushrooms and toss to coat. Stir in cider and soy sauce. Add garlic chile paste to taste. Saute for 2 more minutes. Arrange hot mushrooms and sauce over greens. Serve immediately.
