Guest guest
maybe with some of that live barecue sauce? * Exported from MasterCook * Mushroom-Tofu Burger Recipe By :Imar Hutchins & Dawn Marie Daniels Serving Size : 0 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1 cup mushrooms 1/2 cup oats 1/2 onion -- sliced and sauteed 1/4 pound block firm tofu 1 tablespoon A-1® Steak Sauce or other steak sauce of your choice 1/2 teaspoon Adobo or garlic salt Begin by soaking the mushrooms in a combination of one cup water and two tablespoons tamari for an hour if possible. If you are in a rush, you can just soak them for less time. Make the burger by combining the soaked drained mushrooms and all of the other ingredients in a food processor and letting run for 15 seconds. To cook: heat olive oil in a frying pan under low heat. Dollop out the burgers into the frying pan with a spoon, and pat down into a burger-like shape. Cook burgers in a lot of oil so that sides cook. Cook over low flame slowly, so that the insides of the burger get thoroughly cooked.
