Guest guest Posted January 15, 2002 Report Share Posted January 15, 2002 * Exported from MasterCook * Pepper Stir-Fry Recipe By : Betty Crocker Creative Ideas: Easy Chinese, 2/95, page 23 Serving Size : 6 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Side Dishes Vegetables Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 11 ounces canned mandarin orange segments -- in light syrup Orange Soy Sauce -- (below) 2 teaspoons vegetable oil 2 cloves garlic -- finely chopped 3 medium bell peppers -- thinly sliced 1 small onion -- thinly sliced ***ORANGE SOY SAUCE*** 2 tablespoons reserved orange syrup 2 tablespoons soy sauce 1 tablespoon cider vinegar 1/2 teaspoon cornstarch 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger 3 drops red pepper sauce 6 servings. Drain orange segments, reserving 2 tablespoons syrup for Orange Soy Sauce. Prepare Orange Soy Sauce; reserve. Heat wok or 10-inch nonstick skillet over medium-high heat until hot. Add oil; rotate wok to coat side. Add garlic; stir-fry 30 seconds. Add bell peppers and onion; stir-fry about 2 minutes or until crisp-tender. Add orange segments and reserved sauce; cook and stir until thickened. Orange Soy Sauce: Mix all ingredients.
