Basic Balsamic Vinaigrette Dressing

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method

1/4 cup balsamic vinegar

1/4 cup water

1/4 cup olive oil

1 tablespoon low-sodium soy sauce

1 teaspoon maple syrup

1 teaspoon Dijon mustard

1 clove garlic -- minced

Salt and freshly ground pepper -- to taste

 

Makes about 3/4 cup.

 

In small glass jar, shake together all ingredients. Store in refrigerator

until needed; olive oil will solidify slightly. Bring to room temperature

before using.
