Guest guest Posted January 4, 2002 Report Share Posted January 4, 2002 * Exported from MasterCook * Vegan Macaroni and Cheese Recipe By : Serving Size : 4 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1/2 cup nutritional yeast flakes 1/2 cup flour 1/2 teaspoon salt -- (1/2 to 1) 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder or garlic 1/4 teaspoon paprika -- not necessary if you don't have any 2 cups soy milk 1/4 cup margarine or oil 1/2 teaspoon prepared mustard or mustard powder 8 ounces elbow macaroni--or any shape pasta -- cooked and drained 1. Mix dry ingredients in a saucepan. 2. Whisk in milk. 3. Cook over medium heat, whisking constantly, until it thickens and bubbles. 4. Cook and stir 30 seconds more, then remove from the heat. 5. Whip in the margarine and mustard. 6. Add more milk or water if mixture is too thick. 7. Add hot, cooked macaroni, and mix well. 8. Enjoy!
