Guest guest Posted December 27, 2001 Report Share Posted December 27, 2001 * Exported from MasterCook * Nancy's New Nine Layer Casserole Recipe By : The Cooking Cardiologist, by Richard Collins, page 114 Serving Size : 10 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 6 slices white bread 2 cups TVP flakes/chunks 1 1/2 cups Chicken Not* 8 ounces mushrooms -- sliced 3 tablespoons vegetable broth 8 ounces canned water chestnuts -- drained/chopped 1 cup Kraft Miracle Whip Nonfat Dressing 6 ounces mozzarella cheese fat-free slices 6 ounces nonfat cheddar cheese -- shredded 3/4 cup Egg Beaters 99% egg substitute 1 1/2 cups Edensoy Organic Soy Beverage 2 jars Heinz Low Fat White Gravy 1/4 cup Butter Buds 3/4 cup seasoned bread crumbs Serving Size: 10 Rehydrate TVP flakes with 1 1/2 cups hot Chicken Not, set aside for 0-15 minutes. Spray a 13 x 9 x 2 inch baking dish or pan. Line with bread slices. Sprinkle mock chicken (TVP flakes/chunks) over bread. In saucepan, cook mushrooms slices in 3 tablespoons vegetable broth. Using a slotted spoon, spoon over the mock chicken. Combine water chestnuts and Miracle Whip, spoon over mushrooms. Top with cheeses. Combine egg beaters and soy milk, pour over entire dish evenly Spread soup over cheese. Cover, chill 3 to 24 hours. Bake, uncovered in a 350 degree oven 1 1/4 hours. Combine Butter Buds mixed to package directions with bread crumbs. Sprinkle over casserole. Bake 10 minutes longer. Remove from oven and let sit for 10 minutes before serving.
