Guest guest
Jamie, I espescially like Pacific Organic Broth and I do keep alot on hand to make quick easy meals, but I also make a Sunday's at Moosehead recipe, which is easy and delicious. I also keep a bag in the freezer that I save asparagas and mushroom stems and other veggie scraps that are good to add to the stock pot when the bag is full. Sometimes these concoctions come out even better. Broth 2 large unpeeled potatoes, quartered 2 large carrots, peeled and thickly sliced 1 large onion, peeled and quartered 1 celery stalk, chopped 1 apple or pear, seeded and chopped 1 bay leaf 12 peppercorns 10 cups water Simmer covered 45 minutes. You can slso throw in some garlic cloves skins and all, and a small amt. of tomato for a more assertive stock. For an Asian flavor ass ginger, scallions, and shiitakes. Add sweet potato or winter squash for sweetness. Good luck,Margaret.
