Combine the cranberries, orange juice, and water in a blender or a food processor fitted with a steel blade and process until thick and jamlike, about 5 to 7 seconds. Transfer to a medium mixing bowl and blend in the sugar and orange zest. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours (preferably 1 to 2 days) before serving.
