New Zealand Delight

2 1/2 cups fresh strawberries -- sliced

5 kiwi -- sliced

1/4 cup lemon sorbet

3 tablespoons orange juice (about 1/2 orange)

1/4 teaspoon dry ginger

1 tablespoon sliced almonds (toasted)

 

Slice or chop the fruit and place into a large bowl. Mix the sorbet,

juice and ginger together in a small bowl. (Depending on the ripeness of

fruit, you may need to add a little honey or other sweetener.)

 

Pour the liquid mixture over the fruit. (Optional: Place fruit mixture

in saucepan and heat on medium heat for a few minutes. For a thicker

sauce, add 1 teaspoon of cornstarch mixed with a little water). Sprinkle

almonds over the fruit mixture.

 

This recipe makes 4-6 servings.
