Chicken Paprika (or Paprikash)

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method

1/2 cup olive oil

4 4 oz pieces tempeh

4 medium onions -- finely chopped

6 tablespoons sweet Hungarian parika

2 teaspoons sea salt

1 teaspoon black pepper

3 cups soy milk

1 cup rice

or

1 pound noodles -- or pasta

 

If having rice, cook it per package directions.

 

In a large saucepan, heat half of oil and saute tempeh 4 minutes each side until

both sides are golden. Cut each into 1 " slices.

 

If having pasta, cook it per package directions.

 

In same pan, saute onions 3 minutes. Add paprika and saute 2 minutes.

 

Stir in milk, salt, and pepper. Add tempeh strips, bring to a boil and simmer

10 minutes.

 

Serve the Chicken Paprika over cooked rice or pasta.
