Guest guest Posted December 2, 2001 Report Share Posted December 2, 2001 * Exported from MasterCook Mac * Cole Slaw Recipe By : Mindy Toomay & Susan Geiskopf-Hadler Serving Size : 10 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Salad Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- -- The Slaw -- 3 large carrots -- shredded 1 medium cabbage (green) -- shredded 1 medium red onion -- minced -- The Dressing -- 1/2 cup sesame oil (light) 1/2 cup red wine vinegar 1 teaspoon celery seed 2 cloves garlic -- minced 1 tablespoon honey 1/4 teaspoon salt freshly ground pepper Prepare well ahead of time and set aside in the refrigerator for up to a day so the flavors can blend. Shred the vegetables into a large bowl. Whisk together the dressing ingredients until well blended. Toss with the vegetables. Cover and refrigerate until just before serving time. A batch of cole slaw can be enjoyed over the course of several days - the flavors actually improve with time.
