Guest guest Posted November 21, 2001 Report Share Posted November 21, 2001 * Exported from MasterCook * Cranberry Chutney Recipe By :Veggie Life, Winter 2001 Serving Size : 0 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Etcetera Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1 can (16 ounce) whole berry cranberry sauce 1 cup brown sugar 2 tablespoons roasted unsalted peanuts 1 teaspoon coriander seeds 1 teaspoon Garam Masala, purchased or homemade 1 teaspoon chili powder Salt -- to taste 1. IN a heavy bottomed saucepan over medium heat, combine cranberry sauce and brown sugar; bring to a boil 2. In a spice grinder or food processor, make a coarse mix of peanuts and coriander seeds. Add to cranberry mixture and simmer for 5 minutes, stirring frequently. Mix in garam masala, chili powder and salt. Simmer 2 minutes. The chutney will thicken as it cools.
