Guest guest
Here are two from the Chile-Heads list over the years. I have made the first one and I did it without the Grand Marnier. Worked just fine. Lasted forever too. If you don't like chiles, then ignore these. The first one is excellent though. I haven't made the second one but recipes are not allowed to be posted on Chile-Heads without them being tested. Otherwise there is tons of flaming! Enjoy! * Exported from MasterCook * Cranberry Chipotle Compote Recipe By : Chile-Heads Archive Serving Size : 1 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Chile-Heads Chiles Condiments Hot & Spicy Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1 tbsp vegetable oil 3 med apples 3 med pears 1/3 cup raisins 1/4 cup Grand Marnier 1 lb fresh cranberries 4 oz chipotle peppers -- chopped fine 2 tsp ground cinnamon 1 cup sugar zest from 1 orange -- chopped fine 1/2 tsp nutmeg 1/4 cup Grand Marnier Peel, core and dice pears and apples. Continue to cook for another 5-10 minutes, and add 1 T of the lime juice; taste. if too sweet, and more juice to taste. Cook another five minutes to reduce slightly; remove from heat and cool. Refrigerate. Note: Yum. More chiles can be added; serranos work better than jalapenos. 1 habanero can, of course, be substituted for the serranos; I would seed and devein it, though. Or at least warn the guests. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - RisaG Great Gift Ideas MK Independent Beauty Consultant radiorlg Risa's Food Service http://www.geocities.com/radiorlg Updated 11/05/
