Baked Rice

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method

1 cup brown rice

2 1/2 cups spring wate -- per cup of rice

1 pinch sea salt -- per cup of rice

 

Prepared for variety, this dish has a lighter, fluffier grain.

 

Wash the rice and then dry-roast it in a frying pan for a few

minutes. Combine the rice, water, and salt in a pot and boil for 1

hour. Transfer the rice to a casserole dish and cover. Bake in a

preheated 300-degree oven for about 1 hour. The rice should be light and

moist, neither dry nor wet
