Split Pea Soup with Cabbage

 

Recipe By : Amber Waves of Grain, Alex and Gale Jack

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method

1 cup split peas

1 piece wakame seaweed -- 3-inch piece

1 leek -- sliced

1 carrot -- sliced

1 cup cabbage -- chopped

1/8 teaspoon sea salt -- to 1/4 tsp

4 cups spring water

 

Split pea soup is good with cabbage, which sweetens it.

 

Add split peas to water and cook with wakame.After 20 minutes add

remaining vegetables and sea salt. Continue cooking for another 10

minutes.
