I don't mean to flood your mailboxes all at once, but I am travelling and I'm not sure when I'll have email access again. I do want to share from this book, especially some of the very unusual recipes. Ellen * Exported from MasterCook Mac * Mustard Green Pickles Recipe By : Amber Waves of Grain, Alex and Gale Jack Serving Size : 1 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Seasonings, Dressings, Pickles Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1 bunch mustard greens -- large 1/2 cup shoyu - or 1/4 cup shoyu and - 1/4 cup spring water 2 tablespoons roasted sesame seeds 2 tablespoons rice syrup 1/2 teaspoon grated ginger root Wash greens and cut into 1-inch pieces. Pack firmly into quart jar. Sprinkle on sesame seeds. In saucepan, bring shoyu, ginger, and rice syrup to boil. Cool and pour over the greens. Cover and place in the refrigerator.
