I've a recipe from vibrant life magazine that mentions " salad seasonings "

8 tbs of the stuff. the recipe also using bottled italian dressing.

to me, salad seasonings is a packet of stuff we might add to oil or yogurt to

get a dressing. so i'm confused.

does anyone have a recipe or reference for " salad seasonings "

Pat,

Salad seasonigs, I would assume is similar to <Salat Gewuerze> back in

Switzerland. I haven't used it in a while, but as far as I remember,

this is a combination of different dried herbs, salt (maybe aromat),

pepper and possibly paprika. However, 1/2 cup sounds like too much to

me. In my personal opinion, using the dried version of salad seasonings

that I am familiar with, 1 or 2 tablespoons would be sufficient.

The other possibility would be that 1/2 cup is correct, and what is

meant are fresh chopped herbs. Please let me know, if you think that

Salat Gewuerze is what you are looking for, and I have my mom or sister

send me the list of ingredients.

With my best regards,

I agree and that's my impression too. that it's more likely a typo. I have seen

evidence at the site of someone typing " c " instead of " t " (cuscan instead of

tuscan beans, etc.) so it's a good bet it's just a typo.

here's the recipe
