Fried Tofu

1 pound fresh firm-style tofu

dark sesame oil

tamari

 

Slice tofu into pieces 3 inches long by 2 inches wide by 1/2 inch

thick. Heat a small amount of dark sesame oil in a skillet. Set sliced

tofu in skillet and pour 2 or 3 drops of tamari on top of each slice. Fry

over medium-high flame for 2-3 minutes. Turn slices over and place 1 or 2

drops of tamari on top. Fry for 2-3 minutes. Turn over once more and fry

for 1-2 minutes so that both sides are golden brown. Remove and arrange

attractively on a platter. Garnish with a sprig of fresh parsley either in

the center or off to one side of the platter.
