Guest guest Posted October 12, 2001 Report Share Posted October 12, 2001 * Exported from MasterCook * Fried Tofu Recipe By : The Macrobiotic Way, by Michio Kushi, page 173 Serving Size : 1 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Main Dishes, Vegetarian Soyfoods Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1 pound fresh firm-style tofu dark sesame oil tamari Slice tofu into pieces 3 inches long by 2 inches wide by 1/2 inch thick. Heat a small amount of dark sesame oil in a skillet. Set sliced tofu in skillet and pour 2 or 3 drops of tamari on top of each slice. Fry over medium-high flame for 2-3 minutes. Turn slices over and place 1 or 2 drops of tamari on top. Fry for 2-3 minutes. Turn over once more and fry for 1-2 minutes so that both sides are golden brown. Remove and arrange attractively on a platter.
