Stir over a low heat until the jam is melted. Simmer uncovered for 2 minutes, stir in the liqueur or orange juice. Place nectarines in a medium bowl, add the jam mixture and stir gently Toast the panettone slices and serve topped with the nectarine mixture and thick cream.
