Ten-Minute Marinara Sauce

1/4 cup olive oil

4 garlic cloves -- coarsely chopped

1 cup water

28 ounces canned crushed tomatoes

3/4 cup chopped fresh parsley

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon black pepper

 

In a large saucepan, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat;

add the garlic and saute until golden. Slowly add the water, then

the tomatoes; stir in the remaining ingredients and bring to a

rapid boil. Reduce the heat to medium ad cook for 10 minutes,

stirring occasionally.
