Spicy Carrot Broth

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method

2 cups carrot juice

1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper

1/8 teaspoon chili powder

1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

1/4 teaspoon ground cloves

1 tablespoon cornstarch

1 tablespoon cold water

1 tablespoon chopped cilantro

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/8 teaspoon white pepper

 

Bring the carrot juice to a simmer. Add the cayenne pepper, chili powder, nutmeg

and cloves.

 

Mix the cornstarch and water together, then whisk into the simmering carrot

juice.

 

Bring back to a simmer. Add chopped cilantro and adjust seasoning with salt and

pepper, then serve.
