Guest guest Posted September 8, 2001 Report Share Posted September 8, 2001 * Exported from MasterCook Mac * Confetti Portobello Mushrooms Recipe By : Mr. Food's Italian Kitchen by Art Ginsburg Serving Size : 6 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Appetizers Vegetables Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 3 tablespoons olive oil 2 large red and green bell peppers -- cut in 1/2 " strips 1 large onion -- cut into wedges 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder 1 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon black pepper 6 large portobello mushroom caps In a large skillet, heat the oil over medium-high heat; add the bell peppers and onion, sprinkle with the garlic powder, salt and black pepper, and saute for 5 to 7 minutes, or until the peppers are tender, mixing well. Add the mushrooms and cook for 7 to 10 minutes, or until the mushrooms are heated through and tender, turning halfway through the cooking. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - NOTES : This appetizer can also be served as a sandwich.
