Chickpeas in Tangy Tahini Sauce

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method

1/2 cup lemon juice

1/2 cup fresh parsley -- chopped

3 tablespoons soy sauce

5 garlic cloves -- minced

1 carrot -- chopped

1 onion -- chopped

1/2 cup nutritional yeast flakes

1/3 cup sunflower seeds

1/4 cup tahini

4 teaspoons cumin

dash cayenne

1 19 oz can chickpeas -- drained

 

In a cast iron frying pan, over medium heat, bring together first 6 ingredients.

Simmer and add yeast, sunflower seeds, tahini, cumin, and cayenne. Finally

combine with the chickpeas.
