Miso Nut Spread

2 tablespoons hazelnuts or almonds

2 tablespoons light miso

1 tablespoon water

 

Toast the nuts in a hot, dry skillet over high heat until lightly brown. Place

them in a blender with the miso and water. Blend together until smooth.

 

VARIATIONS: *~Substitute any nut butter or tahini for the nuts. *~Vary the type

of miso.
