Guest guest Posted September 1, 2001 Report Share Posted September 1, 2001 This is one of our favorite pasta dishes - plain and simple - * Exported from MasterCook * Garlic Spaghetti (Aglio e Olio) Recipe By : Anne Geide Serving Size : 4 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1 pound dried pasta -- cold, cooked, drain 1/2 c olive oil -- cover pan bottom 2 cloves garlic -- 2t about, to taste 1 Tbsp parsley -- Chop'd Fresh 1/4 c parmesan cheese -- grated, optional 1 pinch red papper flakes -- (opt. if you like) fresh herbs -- basil, oregano (opt) Cover bottom of frying pan with layer of olive oil. Over medium heat, slight saute the minced (or pressed) garlic, just before it turns brown. You can increase the amount of garlic according to your taste. Add the cooked spaghetti and a little water. Heat, mixing well to coat the spaghetti. Add the 1T of the chopped parsley, the red pepper flakes and herbs if you're using them. Serve with grated cheese. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - NOTES : This is a casual " play it by ear " recipe. Good way to use up cooked leftover, unsauced pasta. Serve with the grated cheese.
