Guest guest Posted August 31, 2001 Report Share Posted August 31, 2001 * Exported from MasterCook * Sesame Chicken Noodle Salad Recipe By :Adventist International Cookbook, Debby Shabo Wade Serving Size : 8 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : The Adventist Kitchen Series Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1 12 oz package spaghetti -- uncooked 1 12.5 oz can Worthington FriChik -- drained and chopped 2 tablespoons sesame oil 2 tablespoons sesame seeds -- toasted 3 cloves garlic -- chopped 1/2 cup tahini 1/2 cup broth (made with chicken-style broth or seasoning mix) 1 tablespoon sugar 1/3 cup low sodium soy sauce 1/3 cup red wine vinegar 1 bunch scallions -- chopped In a large pot over high heat, bring 2 quarts of water to a boil; cook pasta. When tender, drain. Refill pot with cold water and return pasta to pot. Let stand until completely cool; drain thoroughly. In a large bowl, combine pasta, FriChik, and 1 tablespoon of sesame oil; mix well. Cover and set aside. In a shallow baking pan, toast sesame seeds in a 350ºF oven until golden brown. Set aside. In a blender or food processor, process garlic, tahini, broth, sugar, soy sauce, vinegar, and remaining oil for 15 seconds. Add to pasta mixture; mix well. Cover; refrigerate at least 2 hours and for up to 2 days. To serve, turn mixture out onto a large serving platter. Sprinkle sesame seeds over center and scallions around edge.
