Banana Scones

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method

2 cups unbleached flour

1/2 teaspoon salt

3 teaspoons baking powder

1/4 cup granulated sugar

2 tablespoons butter -- melted

1/2 cup mashed banana

1 egg

2 tablespoons milk

 

In a medium bowl, combine flour, salt, baking powder, and sugar. Add butter.

 

In a small bowl, beat together banana, butter, egg, and milk. Make a well in

the flour mixture; pour liquid into it. Stir gently with a fork until

moistened. Drop mixture onto a greased cookie sheet by spoonfuls. Bake at

400ºF for 12 to 15 minutes, until golden brown. Serve plain or with butter.
