Guest guest Posted August 26, 2001 Report Share Posted August 26, 2001 here is beverage recipe, and the spaghetti sauce we had tonight too ! * Exported from MasterCook * Watermelon Agua Fresca Recipe By : Lynchburg News & Advance Serving Size : 8 Preparation Time :0:20 Categories : American Beverages Fruit Healthy And Hearty Mexican Vegan Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 2 whole limes -- juiced 2 1/2 tablespoons sugar 8 pounds watermelon -- diced and seeded 2 tablespoons mint leaves -- chopped fine ice club soda put lime juice and sugar in small non-reactive pot and simmer on low heat for 2-3 minutes, stiring occasionally. let cool. cut melon into 1/8ths lengthwise, cut from rind and remove seeds, cut in 2 " dice save 8 thin slices for garnish puree watermelon in batches combine puree, lime juice and mint in pitcher and chill well add lime juice and sugar to taste serve in tall glasses with ice. Drain off fat, add sauces, tomatoes, spices and mushrooms. Simmer 20 minutes.
