Grilled Tempeh

 

Recipe By : Heart of the Home, Ann Jackson (1995) p63

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method

2 blocks of tempeh or tofu -- to 3

- sliced and marinated in:

1 cup tamari soy sauce -- mixed with

1 cup water

1 tablespoon dry mustard

2 cloves garlic -- smashed

1/4 cup bourbon

3 tablespoons molasses

 

Lightly saute the tempeh or tofu first in a little oil and tamari,

then marinate for about 2 hours. Lay over hot coals, keep basting,

and turn when necessary. This should be finished, with a nice flavor,

in 5 to 10 minutes.

NOTES : Usually if I'm cooking out,I'll go ahead an do a couple of

different things. Here's a good way to do tempeh or tofu:
