Mix the dry ingredients together and stir into the flour till it makes a ball. Wrap in waxed paper and put in fridge. Now, put the TVP in a medium bowl. Bring 1 cup of water to a boil and stir in ketchup, tamari, salt, pepper, and cumin. Pour over TVP, cover, and let stand about 15 minutes. Brown the onion and a little oil in a skillet. Add TVP mixture, stirring often so it won't stick. The last few minutes add the peas and parsley. Then remove from heat and stir in chopped egg if you are using it. Now you're ready to roll. On a well floured board, roll out pastry and cut out in circles. They should be about 5 inches across. You can use a saucer to help you get it right. Put a heaping spoonful (it doesn't take much) of filling and put it just barely under the halfway mark. Then fold over and pinch edges together with you fingers or with the tips of a fork. Barely brush the tops with melted maragine. Unless you're taking them on a trip, cut a little crows foot design in the top. Place on a cookie sheet and bake in a 400F preheated oven for about 15 minutes or until brown. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Per serving (excluding unknown items): 1522 Calories; 64g Fat (34% calories from fat); 171g Protein; 105g Carbohydrate; 0mg Cholesterol; 5326mg Sodium Food Exchanges: 5 Starch/Bread; 21 Lean Meat; 4 Vegetable; 12 Fat; 1/2 Other Carbohydrates NOTES : This is a perfect special something for road trips or to wrap in a big bandana the next time you run away from home. _____
