Fruit and Nut Chews

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method

6 ounces dried dates

1 cup water

2 ounces pecan nuts -- chopped

2 teaspoons tahini

2 tablespoons peanut butter

 

Cook the dates in the water for about 10 minutes until they are soft and all the

liquid has been absorbed. Add the pecans, tahini and peanut butter and mix well.

Leave to sit for about 30 minutes so that the mixture firms up, then form into

balls or logs and chill.
