Steamed Broccoli with Sesame-Miso Sauce

1 1/2 pounds broccoli (about 2 large stalks)

2 tablespoons red miso

2 tablespoons tahini

1/4 cup mirin

1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional, toasted, if

desired)

 

Peel broccoli stems and cut into 1/2 " pieces. Cut tops into florets. In a

large saucepan with a steamer insert, steam broccoli until tender, about 8

minutes. Transfer to a serving bowl.

 

In a small saucepan over low heat, combine miso, tahini, and mirin. Whisk until

smooth, about 1 minute. Drizzle sauce over broccoli and sprinkle with sesame

seeds, if desired.
